Attention: Omelette Lovers

Can't help but talk about the French omelette at L'Amande Bakery.  I had the blue cheese & portobello mushrooms the other day for brunch. If you are into bland flavors, this is not for you. This omelette is bursting with blue cheese, cheddar cheese and the mushrooms.  The outer part is well done but the inside is not.  Instead, it is soft and fluffy like eggs should be as oppose to a lot of omelette's that are too well done and rubbery.

The omelette comes with a nice salad and a slice of their daily fresh baked baguette with butter and their home made fruit compote which varies from wild blueberry, raspberry, mango depending on what fruit is in season. Don't forget to order their special "shaken-not stirred"  ice tea in various flavors like pomegranate, orange or lemon. I hear they have a green apple flavor sometimes though I haven't had that yet.

L'Amande Bakery is located in the Rolling Hills Shopping Center on the corner of Pacific Coast Hwy. and Crenshaw in Torrance, California.  If you still haven't been there, you really are missing out.
